Riot Time Entertainment is a children's book publisher from Melbourne Australia. We publish children's books that are a little bit different. Children's books that are fun, interesting and a little bit quirky. Not your average books about lame topics like farts, princesses, pirates and unicorns. Our books are not whimsical, they are thought provoking and philosophical.

Who is Riot Time?

Hey there, we are Patty and PJ Kennan owners of Riot Time and parents to three kids we are raising in Melbourne, Australia.

We started Riot Time Entertainment as a way to get our creativity out into the world and it is the business that we publish our kids books through.

This journey into kids books all started 8 years ago when our eldest was in kindergarten. PJ had finished an MBA and needed a project, before he drove Patty completely bonkers! He had an idea for a book titled ‘I wanna build a robot.’ With a simple drawing and a rhyming story he managed to navigate his way through various computer programs and figure out how to self publish using Amazon.

We printed a few copies and handed them out to family and friends, this included the kindergarten teacher. The teacher loved it and created a whole class around the book culminating in a special fathers day presentation where the book was read aloud by the kids whilst building a robot all to the surprise of PJ who sat in the audience with all the other dads with his jaw on the floor.

Fast forward a few years and we’ve decided to pursue this creative dream of making kids books. We have now published 7 books including
